Getting Started

How do I get access to Danske eBanking and Mobile Banking?

Danske eBanking, including Mobile Banking, is available for all customers of Danske Bank International S.A.

To register for eBanking, please contact Client Services on +352 46 12 75 400 or clientservices.lux@danskebank.lu.

When you have received your log-on details, you can log on to eBanking via internet or via iOS and Android supported tablets and smartphones.

How do I log on to eBanking online and Mobile Banking?

When having registered for eBanking you will receive three log on elements; a UserID of 8 digits, a temporary password of 4 digits, and an eSafeID device which generates 6 digit security codes.


eBanking online

1. On www.danskebank.lu, click Log-on in the top right corner.

2. Enter your User ID and the temporary password. You will now be prompted to change the temporary password to a personal password of 4 digits that you must remember for future log-on.

3. Press the button on your eSafeID and enter the six-digit security code that is displayed on the screen. Click OK.


Mobile Bank

1. Download the app in App Store or Google Play, you can find it by searching for “Mobile Bank Lu”. Please note that when downloading it to your iPad, you need to set the search criteria to "iPhone only" in the top left corner. Tap “Log on” and enter your UserID, password (4 digit code) and eSafeID device.

2. Enter your User ID and the temporary password. You will now be prompted to change the temporary password to a personal password of 4 digits that you must remember for future log-on.

3. Press the button on your eSafeID and enter the six-digit security code that is displayed on the screen. Click on Ok to access your account(s).

What if I have forgotten my password or User ID?

If you have forgotten your password (4 digit code) you need to contact us to order a temporary replacement password. When you receive the temporary code and log on, you will be prompted to change it to a personal code.

If you have forgotten your User ID, please call Client Services on +352 46 12 75 400.

My eBanking access has been blocked, how do I get it unblocked?

If you have entered your password incorrectly four times your access will be blocked. Please contact us and we will send you a temporary code. When you log on with the temporary code, you will be prompted to change it to a personal code.

Problems downloading or using the app


I cannot find the app in App Store

Search for “Mobile Bank Lu” in App Store or Google Play. Please note that when downloading it to your iPad, you need to set the search criteria to "iPhone only" in the top left corner.


Problems downloading or using the app on the telephone or tablet

Try one of the following:

• Restart the app (iOS & Android)

• Restart the phone (iOS & Android)

• Is the operation system updated? If not, update (iOS & Android)

• Is the app the newest version? If not, update (iOS & Android)

• Empty the app cache (Android): Settings - Mobile Bank - Storage - Clear data

• Check if you can log-on using a web browser (internet). If you cannot log-on via the web browser either, there might be a problem with your UserID, PIN code or token. Please call Client Services on +352 46 12 75 400 for help.

General

Are there differences between Mobile Banking and eBanking?

Yes, Danske Mobile Bank is designed for convenience, providing you with access to your accounts and allowing you to make transfers and trade securities while you are on the move. eBanking is more extensive and provides additional functions such as the electronic mailbox, secure mail, market news and analysis data from Danske Bank, Wall Street On Demand and Investment Terminal, and the setting up and amending standing orders.

Functionalities in the Mobile Bank

• My finances: Overview your total holdings and asset allocation.

• Custody: View the balance of your custody account, details about your investments, and transactions for the last 3 years.

• Watchlist: Create and follow your own list of securities. Add securities by tapping on the '+' button, you can then search and select the relevant security to add to your watchlist. If you already have securities listed within your watchlist tap 'edit' first and then tap the '+' button.

• Market: Check the market indices for equities, bonds, funds and commodities. Tip: By tapping the 'sort' button, you can rearrange the market index listing by dragging the relevant market index into the preferred order and then press 'Approve'.

• Alerts: Create alerts to be notified of security prices by e-mail or sms, on a regular basis or when reaching a certain price.

• Trade: Buy and sell securities, normal trading charges will apply. The quoted price will depend on if you place the order as an ‘Immediate trade’, ‘Market order’ or ‘Market order with limit’. For Immediate trades, you will get the exact price you see when you place the order. When placing Market orders you get an indicative price, which means that it may not be the price you receive. These indicative prices are updated every 15 minutes. If you do Market orders with limit, you choose yourself the price at which the order will be placed.

• Account: Check the balance of your money market accounts and see a list of your MasterCard transactions for the last 13 months. Tip: Press the 'Sort' button to rearrange your account listing, drag your accounts on the screen into the preferred order and then press 'Save'. You can also change the name of your accounts by selecting each account, click the three dots in the top right corner and then Account name.

• Transfer: Transfer money or pay bills. Edit or delete future transfers and payments.

• Currency: View the currency exchange rates and use the currency converter.

• Contact: Keep your Private Banker, eBanking help desk and card blocking service on speed dial.

• Find us: Find the nearest Danske Bank branch or ATM

The following services are available also without logging on: Market, Watchlist, Currency, Contact and Find us.

Does it cost anything to use Danske eBanking and Mobile Banking?

Danske eBanking, including Mobile Banking is a service free of charge. Normal data charges may apply specific to your mobile network operator and/or your contract set-up. Normal charges will apply to trades, transfers and agreements of additional services such as real time prices and financial analysis via Investment Terminal.

What is the maximum limit for transferring money in the Mobile Bank?

If you are transferring money between your own accounts with us there is no maximum limit.

For all other transfers and payments via Danske Mobile Bank a maximum daily limit applies of EUR 50,000 in total, subject to available cleared funds. You can make as many transfers as you like.

How do I switch between the standard banking wheel and the Investment wheel?

To move between the standard banking wheel and the Investment wheel you need to swipe across your device screen. Whichever wheel you log-on to and then log-off from will be set as the default wheel for your next log-on to the mobile app.

What are the minimum requirements to my operating system on my device?

For iPhone and iPad it is required that your operating system is iOS 6 or later. For Android devices it is required that your operating system is 4.0.3 or later

Can I use Danske eBanking on tablets?

Yes, you can log on to eBanking on iOS or Android supported tablets, either by using an internet browser (go to www.danskebank.lu) or by using the Mobile Bank app. To download the Mobile Bank app, go to App Store or Google Play and search for Mobile Bank LU.

If you download the app to your iPad, please note that as it is an iPhone app, you need to set the search criteria to “iPhone only” in the top left corner.

Security

Is Mobile Banking secure?

Danske Bank aims to provide online banking solutions with a very high level of security and we are constantly developing our security systems, so they comply with current practice.

To access the Mobile Bank you need to log on with your personal UserID, password and eSafeID device. You can choose to save your User ID on the log-on screen by tapping 'Remember User ID'. This does not affect the security as the User ID will not be shown (only your name will show) and you must still enter your personal password and eSafeID code to log on. As an extra security factor, you will be prompted to enter your password when making payments to third parties and when trading securities.

However, it is important that you take security precautions when you use mobile banking. For instance, you should always update your smartphone's software and any apps that may be installed. Be careful about which wireless network you connect to, make sure that you do not ignore warnings such as 'server's certificate cannot be validated', avoid accepting and installing software that rouses suspicion or comes from people or organisations you do not know or trust, protect your smartphone with a pin code and automatic lock after a few minutes without use, never install unauthorised software (jailbreak).

What if I lose my mobile/tablet device or it is stolen?

You need to inform your mobile network operator immediately, so they can disable the phone.

As long as your mobile banking log on details are secure, no one else can use your phone to access your mobile banking data.

However, if you suspect that someone has intercepted your User ID, password or your eSafeID, please contact the eBanking helpdesk immediately on +352 46 12 75 550.

Do I need to log out of the Mobile Bank?

To protect your personal and account information it is recommended that you always log off when you have finished using the app.

Select 'Log off'. If you do not select 'Log off' when you have finished using the app, Danske Mobile Bank will automatically log off after 10 minutes.
